Go Watches Restocking

If you’re still as big a fan of Pokemon Go as we are you probably have found your self still looking around for the watch. Sadly the watch, however, has been rather hard to find and sold out quickly after it launched. Most of the time you can find a few online for high prices, but brick and mortar stores have been left high and dry in the way of shipments for the items.

Luckily, it seems some have started popping up across various retailers just in time for the holidays! Many reports of the watches being sold at places like Gamestop have shown up in the last few weeks. While many people are distracted with procuring the NES Classics it seems the Go watches have slipped right through the radar. The watches retail for about $34.99 USD and connect with your phone to notify you when a Pokemon is near you.

If you’re near an electronics retailer be sure to go by and check in. The cheapest one online at the moment is just below the $60 USD mark on Amazon.

Last Minute Shopping Guide

For those of us who are struggling to get our last few gifts under wraps it may seem quite hopeless to find the items we want. If you are needing a few more items to tide you through the holidays then this guide may just save the day. These items come from  Amazon who is guaranteed to ship fast especially when working with Prime members.

Pokemon Adventures Box Sets: Pokemon Adventures is a manga adaptation of the story of the Pokemon world. It doesn’t include Ash Ketchum, but instead, begins with the famous Red and each box set includes the full story from each generation of the Pokemon games. It is also a continuous story through each set so there is a lot of content for future gifts as well!

Pikachu 3DS Protector: For any owner of a 3DS XL this protector case will be a great gift to stylize and protect their 3DS. The case is a golden outline of Pikachu so the original color of the 3DS will still shine through, so it’s a great pick for those who chose a special edition 3DS that may have an image they still want to shine through their case!

Pokemon 3DS Travel Case: Aside from a 3DS protector, any 3DS owner with a lot of Pokemon games can always get great use of a travel case. It comes with red and blue cartridge cases, a stylus, screen protectors, screen cleaner, and the case itself which can hold a 3DS XL and several games as well!

So those are just a few ideas for a Pokemon or Nintendo fan in your life. If you’re interested in something similar but not quite Pokemon themed, there are lots of great accessories for the 3DS as well as a lot of great new models and games available. Hopefully this list helps you find exactly what you’re looking for to finish off that gift checklist this year. Happy Holidays!

3DS’s Selling Out Across The Nation

If you’ve recently been out trying gather up some gifts for family and friends you may have noticed that some consoles have been harder to find this year. Among these are the Nes Classic, which has been one of the hottest selling items of this year. Another the 2Ds which is a great option to the 3DS for younger children. Now, however, the 3DS, as well as the Wii U, have started to disappear from retailers across the nation.

The 3DS became a hot item due to the release of the new Pokemon games, and the console obtaining several Wii U ports of popular games such as Hyrule Warriors. Generally, stores don’t move many so the demand became quite a shock after Sun and Moon’s launch. Now with less than a week to go before one of the biggest holidays of the year it’s almost impossible to get one in stores.

If you’re like most of us and just really want to get the shopping over with there is still a few options to go with.  The 2Ds is available used on Amazon for a little over $100. While older model 3DS’s are still available for around 139 used. While this might not be completely ideal used products are generally sold in good condition and overall it’s pretty hard to mess up a DS without a substantial amount of abuse.

What hot holiday items are you still searching for?

Pokemon Charity Stream

The holidays are both a time of excitement and stress for most people. This year, however, it seems that some rather successful streamers have decided to pick up the Pokemon series on their twitch channel for their 3-day long charity fundraiser.  The stream is fun to watch, and the channel in question is known for being interactive with their chat.

The streamers are known as “The Speed Gamers” and are playing through all the Pokemon games they can fit into a session. So far, we have seen them go through many different regions including Kanto for the program.  They also have multiple games going on the stream at once and donation goals affect the games progress by causing the streamers to nuzlock or do a completion run.

The charity in question is called Buildon and helps create after school programs for kids across the nation. The stream is broadcast in English and so far collected over $3,000 USD. They are hoping to gain around $10,000 USD by the end and have pledged to extend their stream for 24 hours if the goal is hit.

So, if you’re looking for something to idly watch for the next few days this Pokethon may fit perfectly for you.

New Pokemon Movie Announced for 2017

This has been an exciting year for Pokemon fans around the world. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pokemon we have seen special game events, TCG releases, plushes, toys, a new generation of Pokemon games and of course Pokemon Go. We just got what may be the last piece of news related to the anniversary’s events, however, a teaser trailer for the new Pokemon movie that will be the 20th in the series.

While this is exciting enough already, some people have started to point out similarities between some teaser information and the original Pokemon Anime. More specifically, a teaser poster features a more cartoony Ash Ketchum in his original outfit from the 90’s staring into the sky as Ho-Oh passes over. Some viewers have also claimed a house in the trailer looks like Ash’s home in Pallet town.

There isn’t a lot of information available just yet, but there is some evidence suggesting the movie may be a reboot. Either way, it’s exciting that this movie will definitely have something for long time fans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pokemon. What do you think? Is this a reboot or is it a symbolic new journey for Ash and the series?

Pokemon Giving IOS Users Stickers

If you love being up to date on the latest tech, especially iPhones, then this news piece is for you. When IOS 10 rolled out it gave users the ability to use stickers with messages to other IOS users. While these stickers were limited at first users can now purchase packs via the App store. This gives the user a chance to bring a sense of customization to their text messages aside from using emojis.

Luckily for Pokemon fans, the Pokemon Company has jumped in on the fun. Right now you can purchase a pack of pixelated Pokemon sticks from the store. These stickers include Red and Blue style artwork of fan favorites such as Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle. The stickers also have phrases from the series like “Super Effective.”

The sticker pack can be purchased right now for $1.99 USD.  It was originally released in September as part 1. The Pokemon Company recently announced that part 2 is now on the way to the App store. The next set will feature Pokemon from the Alola region such as the starters.

Lillie’s Bag Available on Amazon

If you have got the chance to play Sun and Moon then you probably know about Lillie’s struggle to keep Nebby in her bag. While Lillie has the best intention for keeping Nebby safe he seems to have other ideas as he often wanders away from her finding himself into all types of trouble. Being the kind trainer you are, of course, you often end up running to the rescue to save the duo from harm’s way. This quickly became a pretty popular internet meme among the Pokemon community gaining steam almost instantly after the game’s release.

Luckily for Pokemon fans who really got into the duo’s struggle, The Pokemon Center has produced a replica of the infamous bag for you to own. The bag is great for cosplay or as a piece of Sun and Moon memorabilia, but sadly does not come with Nebby as it looks like he may have escaped during the bags transfer to the warehouse. For overseas users, Amazon has started selling the bags from their store online with hilarious feedback from trainers and what appears to be Nebby himself in the comments section.

The bag currently is going for $143 USD and is a little pricey for non-collectors.  This is likely due to the bag being a limited item and the import costs that Amazon will be looking at to get it to you. If you are interested however just click here to be taken to the sale page for the item. For everyone else be sure to read some of the great commentaries from the review section of the bag!

PEW!

New Pokemon Added to Pokemon Go!

Pokémon Go has managed to hold attention for a long time now and has made 2016 a great year to be a Pokémon fan. As of today, Pokémon Go is getting the first addition to its roster of available Pokémon with the addition of baby Pokémon from the second generation of games.

They aren’t available to be caught in the wild as of yet, but you can hatch them from eggs received at Pokestops. Magby, Elekid, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Pichu, and Smoochum are now available which evolve into Magmar, Electabuzz, Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Pikachu, and Jinx respectively.

The only new Pokémon added with no evolution is Togepi, which is supposed to evolve but the capability is not present in the game just yet. This means that Generation 2 Pokémon may just be a short wait away, but we’ll have to be patient still before we see them make their way into the game.

Great news for trainers looking to please their kids or go on a fun date sometime soon. Build-A-Bear has announced that they will be adding Charmander to their line  of buildable cuddle buddies. You can get Charmander by visiting your closest store and paying for the plush or by ordering online.

If you go the online route there is a special bundle that includes a TCG card and Lucario costume set for Charmander. The set is available for sale through Build-A-Bears website and costs $61.00 USD. The plush houses a sound box. The Lucario hoodie will double as a Great Ball hoodie if flipped inside out.

Previously Build-A-Bear had partnered with Pokemon to bring in a Pikachu plush as well as an Eevee. These plushes can be dressed up in fitting clothes like most of the other plushes.

The Starbucks Collaboration is Official!

Remember the other day when we told you there was a supposive leak from Starbucks stores stating that they would become a Pokestop? Well turns out that leak was a little more than a rumor, and we will soon be drinking a Pokemon Go themed drink at our favorite location.

“People across the country have been playing Pokémon GO since its release and Starbucks customers and partners (employees) are among them. To join in with the fun and excitement, starting today (December 8) at 11 a.m. PST, approximately 7,800 Starbucks® stores in the U.S. will begin to turn into PokéStops or Gyms. ” said Starbucks on their blog.

“By locating a Starbucks® store within Pokémon GO, players will discover the Pokémon GO Frappuccino® blended beverage. The Pokémon GO Frappuccino® starts with a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino® blended beverage and raspberry syrup blended with freeze-dried whole blackberries and topped with whipped cream. It’s the perfect treat for any Pokémon Trainer on the go.” said Starbucks on their blog.

This will surely make catching Pokemon in the cold much easier and is a great business move for the coffee chain as well.  Hopefully we will eventually get some Poke-themed cookies from them!

What do you think about the partnership? Let us know in the comments below!
